Andy Hearn

Tree Records' second British Artist signing is Andy Hearn of Blackpool. He joins British Guitarist Chris Adams on the Label and has just had two of his original songs released on the digital music scene as mp3s by Tree via The Orchard of New York and is already available at iTunes and will gradually appear on many more Sites over the coming weeks.

"Electric Dreams" is a Single with two songs, three tracks. "Electric Dreams" was recorded in England by Andy Hearn with Electric Guitar playing and Drum Programming performed by his friend Dave Farrar. The second Andy Hearn original is "Open Up Your Mind" which was Arranged and had additional backings added in New Zealand by Tree's Artist Bob Keeton, who also recorded the vocals and Piano on Chris Adams' cover version of "Dust In The Wind" in 2009. The third track is the Instrumental version of "Open Up Your Mind". All three tracks were Mastered in New Zealand at the STL Studios in Wellington.

"Open Up Your Mind" was issued to Mood Radio in Blackpool some months ago as an un-Mastered "Demo" and it received a lot of Airplay and was picked up by a number of British Radio Stations scattered around the Country, including a Station in Wales. As a result of this advance Airplay, :Open Up Your Mind" has charted and reached # 11 on Signal Radio's "Popular Request" Chart and also made it to #1 on the local British Reverbnation's UK Site. It held the #1 spot for many weeks and has only just droppedto the #2 spot a week ago. No doubt the iTunes issue will see it rise again very soon.

Andy Hearn is primarily a Songwriter, having worked at his craft for a Decade before bursting onto the International Music Scene with this, just the first two songs to be recorded. A full Album is being worked on right now. Andy has many Internatinal Fans since first posting some home recorded Demos of his songsat MySpace.com in 2007. His Fans say he reminds them of The Beatles, Oasis and The Stone Roses and indeed there are rifts and phrases in Andy's recordings that sound very much like John Lennon.

Andy is adamant that he is not trying to copy anyone, just being himself. The fact so many fans feel this way about Andy does suggest he is going to become a well known name in the near future and could, or has the potential anyway, spearhead a third "British Beat Invasion". The fact that an American Artist, Rick Hunt, asked to be able to provide the Cover Drawing used on the"Electric Dreams" release.
