New Blackpool Businesses Get Selling with Get Started.

A number of new businesses in Blackpool benefited from training provided by the “Get Started” team, to help them get off to a flying start. The training “Introduction to Sales”, one of many workshops offered by “Get Started,” was conducted by a local firm “Acumen Sales Training” which is accredited by the Institute of Leadership Management. The workshop gave these new entrepreneurs an insight into how to sell their products and services to their potential customers. A wide variety of businesses ranging from hoteliers to web designers attended the course and they were able to build their own sales pitch for their businesses.
Coral Horn from Acumen Sales Training said, “This course is extremely important to aid the success of these companies. The individuals attending have skills in their own business field, what we do is help them to take on board new skills which will enable them to be more successful in competing for business and gaining new customers. For businesses everywhere it is a very competitive time, where every new customer is important”.
The training was a full day workshop, packed with interactive practice and the introduction of a sales structure that can be adapted to all business types. The trainers, Rae and Coral were on hand not only to explain the content, but to help individuals with how they would put it into practice.Training Manager Rae Stephenson commented,” It is very important that our trainees feel that they have had a worthwhile course that will be beneficial and they received help and support on the day. We very much enjoy working with companies and giving them something that will make a real difference”.
The delegates had a lot to say as their day drew to an end, Stuart MacRae from Home Services said
  ”I just enjoyed the full day and learnt a lot. The course was delivered in plain English, no jargon and exceeded my expectations.”
Karen Houseman who is starting up a new business in personalized gifts said,
  ”It was excellent and I could relate it to my specific requirements”.
